·    Research
   1. The glandular trichomes in J. armillaris are reported to adapted to salt secretion, thus characterizing . as salt glands. (de Luna BN et al., Protoplasma. 2020 May;257(3):863-870.)
·    2. The root extract of Jacquinia flammea showed the highest cytotoxic activity against mammalian cells followed by the stem-bark extract while the leaves extract did not show significant activity. (Sánchez-Medina A et al., Nat Prod Commun. 2010 Mar;5(3):365-8.)
   3. Ethanolic extracts of J. ruscifolia extracts showed a broad spectrum of activity. (Sharma RS et al., Fitoterapia. 2008 Dec; 79(7-8):589-91.) Is the inverse leafing phenology of the dry forest understory shrub Jacquinia nervosa (Theophrastaceae) a strategy to escape herbivory? (Chaves OM & Avalos G., Rev Biol Trop. 2006 Sep;54(3):951-63.)
    4. The study indicated that Jacquinia macrocarpa plant (JmAF) is worthy of being considered for the fight against phytopathogenic fungi.( Valenzuela-Cota DF et al., J Environ Sci Health B. 2019;54(8):647-654.)
    5. The synergistic mixtures ( Baccharis glutinosa and Jacquinia macrocarpa plants) strongly affected the fungal growth even at lower concentrations than those of the individual plant fractions.( Medina-López CF et al., J Environ Sci Health B. 2016 Nov;51(11):760-8.)
